About Mozart Evenings 2022

Chieti and the Abruzzo region boast a rich cultural heritage rooted in centuries of history. In the 1990s, the Chieti city council inaugurated the Settimana Mozartiana (Mozart Week) as a tribute to the genius and legacy of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This annual event became a cornerstone of the region’s cultural calendar, offering classical music concerts, puppet shows, and lectures that drew enthusiasts, scholars, and representatives from Mozart foundations across Europe.

In 2022, CMDI Group proudly joined this longstanding tradition by launching the Mozart Evenings festival. This initiative introduced a fresh and vibrant dimension to the celebration of Mozart's timeless music, presenting a series of exquisite concerts in Chieti's most picturesque venues. Featuring internationally acclaimed soloists and the Kyiv Virtuosi Orchestra, under the direction of celebrated conductors such as Dmitry Yablonsky, Alan Chircop, and Lavard Skou Larsen, the festival seamlessly blended tradition with innovation, further solidifying Chieti’s reputation as a hub for classical music excellence.
