Mozart Evenings 2025 Unveils Exciting Lineup of Soloists and Conductors

The official list of soloists and conductors for Mozart Evenings 2025 has been announced! The festival's second iteration will take place from May 25 to June 4, 2025, in Chieti, led by Artistic Director Giuliano Mazzoccante and President Konstantin Ishkhanov.

Set in the captivating city of Chieti, Mozart Evenings 2025 is a musical homage to the long-standing legacy of Settimana Mozartiana and a celebration of the incredible life and works of maestro Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The enchanting celebration will unite renowned musicians from around the globe to celebrate the best of the Italian maestro's works, beautifully blending tradition with innovation.

The esteemed artists performing at the event include:

Vicente Alberola (Spain): Throughout the past decade, Alberola has served as guest principal clarinet with renowned orchestras, including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Lucerne Festival Orchestra, and Mahler Chamber Orchestra, performing under the direction of esteemed conductors such as Claudio Abbado, Mariss Jansons, Riccardo Muti, Daniele Gatti, Daniel Harding, Andris Nelsons, Gustavo Dudamel, Alan Gilbert, and Nicola Luisotti.

Giuseppe Russo Rossi (Italy): Recipient of the Sinopoli Prize from the President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano, Rossi is a talented violinist who has been part of the Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan since 2010. He teaches at the Accademia della Scala and has played as a soloist for Rai Radio3 Suite, Radio di Rai Radio3 Suite, Prague Radio, Irish Radio, Swiss Radio and Television, etc.

Giuliano Mazzoccante (Italy): Mazzoccante has won more than 50 national and international competitions, including “M. Clementi” in Florence, “Agorà 80″ in Rome, “F. Liszt” in Lucca, and “Città di Stresa”, which he was awarded in prestigious competitions such as “International Music Tournament”, “Prix Venice”, “Ecomusic”, among others. Acting as a major soloist and chamber musician at prominent international venues across Europe, the USA and Asia, he is regularly invited to present concerts and masterclasses at acclaimed venues and festivals such as “Mozarteum” in Salzburg.

Teresa Satalino (Italy): Teresa Satalino is a conductor whose multifaceted career with profound and diverse academic background. She studied under eminent maestros such as Jorma Panula, Bruno Bartoletti, Lu Jia and Piero Bellugi. Over the years, Teresa Satalino has graced some of the world’s most esteemed concert halls, including the Musikverein and the Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Smetana Hall in Prague.  She has worked with distinguished soloists like Alexander Chaushian, Boris Brovtsyn, Sophie Dervaux and Camille Thomas.

Davide Alogna (Italy): A violinist known for his diverse and international musical background, Alogna regularly performs as a soloist in prestigious venues worldwide, including Carnegie Hall in New York, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Berliner Philharmonie, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Smetana Hall in Prague etc. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with esteemed orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO), Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini, Filarmonica del Teatro Comunale di Bologna, i Cameristi and i Musici del Teatro alla Scala, and more.

Alibek Kabdurakhmanov (Uzbekistan): A laureate of numerous international music competitions and festivals, Kabdurakhmanov is the winner of the State award-medal “Shukhrat”, state awards “Tasanno”, “Ekhtirom”, repeated participant in state and international projects, etc. He is chief conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, conducting performances with Anna Netrebko, Alessandro Safina, David D'Or, Zhenisbek Piyazov, Feruza Khaldarova, Bekhzod Abduraimov, Ludovico Troncanetti, and many others.

Julia Zilberquit (USA): Earning critical acclaim as a recitalist, chamber musician and recording artist, Zilberquit was praised by The New York Times as "an outstanding soloist" after her Carnegie Hall performance of Cesar Franck's symphonic poem Les Djinns for piano and orchestra with Leon Botstein and the American Symphony Orchestra.

Dumitru Pocitari (Moldova): Violinist Pocitari has won numerous prizes and medals at international violin competitions in UAE, Romania, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Belarus, Russia and Ukraine and performed as soloist in venues like the Berliner Philharmoniker Great Hall, Musikverein Golden hall in Vienna, Smetana hall in Prague and Liszt hall in Budapest. 

Anna Tifu (Italy): Winner of the 2007 George Enescu Competition in Bucharest, Tifu is considered one of the leading violinists of her generation, appearing with many of the world’s finest orchestras and chamber ensembles, including Orchestra Nazionale dell’Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome, Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI in Torino, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France in Paris, etc.

Luis Andrade (Portugal): One of Portugal's most versatile musical personalities, Andrade has been a guest conductor with the Netherlands Symphony OrchestraBangkokok Symphony Orchestra, Limburgs Symfonie Orkest, Ensemble Lyatochinsky Kiev, Orchestra Camera Portuguesa, the Youth Portuguese Orchestra and more recently the Armenian Symphony Orchestra along with appearing as a conductor in the Opera production of Mozart's Don Giovanni.

Tommaso Benciolini (Italy): Winner of the 2017 New York Respighi Prize, Benciolini made his debut on the stage of Carnegie Hall in New York in 2018 and is now the protagonist of an intense and passionate career. His concert activity has led him to perform as a soloist in many of the most prestigious venues, including the Musikverein in Vienna, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Tonhalle in Zurich, the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Seoul Arts Center in Korea, the Herkulessaal in Munich, the Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice and many others. 

Cyprien Katsaris (Greece): A graduate of the Paris Conservatoire, Cyprien is a French-Cypriot pianist and composer whose major international career includes performances with the world’s greatest orchestras: Berlin Philharmonic, Staatskapelle Dresden, Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam, Philharmonia (London), etc.
