Mozart 250 brings back all the composer’s main pieces

2025 will be the tenth year of Mozart 250 - one of the most groundbreaking recent projects on the work legendary composer: all his operas, oratorios and concert arias; most of his symphonies and concertos will continue to be performed, marking the 250th anniversary of their premieres.

In just a few days, the world will be celebrating the 269th anniversary of Mozart’s birth, and his influence as one of the most significant composers in history remains as powerful as ever. It's remarkable that events dedicated to celebrating his genius and preserving his legacy continue to emerge. One of the most exciting initiatives in recent times is Mozart 250, a 27-year project that explores the full arc of Mozart’s life, works, and enduring impact.

The goal of Mozart 250 is to offer audiences a deeper appreciation of one of history's most naturally gifted artists. Launched in 2015 by The Mozartists, under the dynamic leadership of conductor and artistic director Ian Page, the project marks the 250th anniversary of Mozart’s birth by performing many of his most important works. Originally known as Classical Opera, the company was founded in 1997 and has earned widespread acclaim for its virtuosic period-instrument orchestra, innovative programming, and its commitment to nurturing world-class young artists.

Throughout the project, The Mozartists will perform all of Mozart’s major works, including his operas, oratorios, and concert arias, as well as many of his symphonies, concertos, and chamber compositions. The aim is to present Mozart not only in his moments of triumph but also in his struggles—showing the highs and lows of his career, from his financial challenges and compositions for dance music to the operas he yearned to write.

This year will be full of fantastic events within Mozart 250, more information and tickets can be found at https://mozartevenings.com/mozart-250-brings-back-all-the-composers-main-pieces.html
