Winner of the 2017 New York Respighi Prize, he made his debut on the stage of Carnegie Hall in New York in 2018 and is now the protagonist of an intense and passionate career.

His concert activity has led him to perform as a soloist in many of the most prestigious venues including the Suntory Hall in Tokyo, the Philharmonie in Berlin, the Musikverein in Vienna, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Tonhalle in Zurich, the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Seoul Arts Center in Korea, the Herkulessaal in Munich, the Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice and many others. He has performed as a guest soloist with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of New York, Berliner Symphoniker, Nürnberg Symphoniker, Munchener Kammerphilharmonie, OSI Orchestra Svizzera Italiana, North Czech Philarmonic, State of Mexico Symphony Orchestra, Thueringen Philharmonie Gotha-Eisenach, La Habana Chamber Orchestra, Hungarian State Symphony Orchestra, Armenian State Symphony and many others.

Tommaso is also the dedicatee of many contemporary works including the flute concerto "The Garden of Delights. A Flute Concerto after Bosch" by Andrea Battistoni, which he premiered in 2020 on the occasion of his debut at the Großer Saal of the Philharmonie of Berlin.

Armenian-born cellist Alexander Chaushian is acclaimed worldwide for his refined artistry and powerful performances. He has appeared as a soloist with leading orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic, Philharmonia, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Armenian Philharmonic, and Boston Pops, and has performed at major venues such as London’s Southbank Centre, Carnegie Hall, and Suntory Hall.

A former student of the Menuhin School, Guildhall, and Hochschule Berlin, Alexander is a laureate of top international competitions, including the Tchaikovsky in Moscow and ARD in Munich. As a former NY Young Concert Artists alumnus, he toured extensively across the US.

Alexander collaborates with established artists like Emmanuel Pahud, François-Frédéric Guy, and Julia Fischer. His acclaimed recordings for BIS include collaborations with Yevgeny Sudbin, and his 2023 concerto with the Armenian Philharmonic was named ‘Album of the Week’ by The Independent.

Alexander is the Artistic Director of the Yerevan Music Festival and the International Pharos Chamber Music Festival in Cyprus.

Giuseppe Gibboni, regarded as one of the most extraordinary talents of his generation, is renowned for his prodigious technique, expressive depth, and remarkable interpretative maturity. In October 2021, he captured international attention by winning First Prize at the 56th “Premio Paganini” International Violin Competition in Genoa — earning, in addition to the audience award, two special prizes for the best interpretations of Paganini’s Caprices and Concerto. He was the first Italian violinist in 24 years to win this prestigious competition.

Born into a family of musicians, he began studying the violin at a very young age under the guidance of his father, Daniele Gibboni. He graduated with top honors from the “Giuseppe Martucci” Conservatory in Salerno under the mentorship of Maestro Maurizio Aiello, quickly standing out for his natural virtuosity. At the age of 14, he was admitted to the Stauffer Academy in Cremona, where he studied with Salvatore Accardo, and later continued his training at the Chigiana Academy in Siena, where he received the Diploma of Honor. He also completed advanced studies at the Perosi Academy in Biella with Pavel Berman and at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg with Pierre Amoyal.

His victory at the Paganini Competition launched a career that rapidly took on an international dimension.

Both as the soloist of international orchestras and as a sought-after chamber musician, Daishin Kashimoto is a regular guest of major concert halls around the globe. The tremendous wealth of experience gained in over 15 years as first concert master of the Berliner Philharmoniker benefits him in his equally adept role as a soloist, where he plays a wide repertoire ranging from classical to new music.

Last season, Daishin Kashimoto performed Bruch's Violin Concerto with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra conducted by Fabio Luisi, and appeared with the City of Birmingham Orchestra as well as the NDR Radio Philharmonic. In the summer of 2022, his tour of Japan with the Gürzenich Orchestra under the baton of François-Xavier Roth took him to renowned Japanese concert halls, including Suntory Hall in Tokyo. A highlight of this season is the world premiere of Toshio Hosokawa's new violin concerto Prayer with the Berliner Philharmoniker at the Philharmonie Berlin in March 2023, followed by the Swiss premiere at the KKL Luzern with the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra in June. An Asian tour with the City of Birmingham Orchestra is scheduled for the end of the season.

Daishin Kashimoto has appeared with the NHK Symphony Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre National de France, the Bavarian, Hessian, and West German Radio Symphony Orchestras, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, and the St Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra under conductors such as Mariss Jansons, Seiji Ozawa, Lorin Maazel, Yehudi Menuhin, Paavo Järvi, Myung-Whun Chung, Daniel Harding, and Philippe Jordan. He can also be heard as a soloist in concerts with the Berliner Philharmoniker. Past engagements include Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante at the Grafenegg Festival and Lucerne Festival, Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 1 under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle, and Tchaikovsky's Sérénade Mélancolique and Valse Scherzo at Berlin's Waldbühne under direction of Andris Nelsons.

Fabrizio Meloni, since 1984, is the first solo clarinet chair of the Orchestra and the Philharmonic of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. He has finished his clarinet studies at Milan's Conservatorio "G. Verdi"with summa cum laude and the special mention for his artistic achievement.

Winner dozens of national and international prizes (ARD Munchen-1987- Prague – 1987-, among all), he has been partner of soloists of international reputation: Bruno Canino, Alexander Lonquich, Michele Campanella, Heinrich Schiff, Friederich Gulda, Nazzareno Carusi, Editha Gruberova, the Hagen Quartet, Myung-Whun Chung, Philip Moll and the Fine Arts Quartet. He has toured the United States and Israel with the "Quintetto a Fiati Italiano", performing works specially dedicated to this ensemble by Luciano Berio (with whom he has collaborated along the years 1989-1994) and Salvatore Sciarrino. With Nuovo Quintetto Italiano he has already toured South America and Far East, receiving enthousiastic consents of public and critic. The same success he has had in various series of concerts in Japan with Phillip Moll and I Solisti della Scala (Tokyo and Osaka), performing a program of Italian Opera's collections recorded in the CD "I Fiati all'Opera"(DAD Records).

With the ensemble I Solisti della Scala Trio he has performed all over the world. The Washington Post has written about their recital in Washington, DC: "An evening of breathtaking artistry". In 2007 he has toured Italy, Germany, the United States, Australia and Japan playing duo with the pianist Nazzareno Carusi, celebrating the anniversaries of Johannes Brahms and Domenico Scarlatti. After their performance for the Hamburg's Brahms-Gesellschaft, Cord Garben (the artistic producer of Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli's Deutsche Grammophone recordings) has written: "The listening to their recital has been an unforgettable adventure".

Audience and press alike confirm that Mirjam Schröder takes this philosophy to heart. For her "harp playing full of grace and feeling" (Lippisches Kultur Journal), she has been honored at numerous competitions. These include the ARD International Music Competition 2004, where she received both the Audience Prize and 3rd Prize, the Concorsi Arpista Ludovico Madrid 2002, and 1st Prize at the International Reinl Competition Vienna/Munich.

She made her concert debut at the age of 15 with Mozart's Double Concerto for Harp and Flute. 

Since then, she has performed as a soloist and chamber musician throughout Germany, Russia, Japan and all Europe. Her active concert career is complemented by numerous radio and CD recordings.

From 2006 to 2015, she taught at the University of Music Franz Liszt Weimar; since 2015, Mirjam Schröder is a Professor of Harp at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw). 

In her solo recital programs, Mirjam Schröder aims to present the audience with a repertoire as diverse as possible, showcasing the full sonorous range of her instrument. In addition to solo performances, a cornerstone of her work is the performance of contemporary music and chamber.

Winner of the 2007 George Enescu Competition in Bucharest Anna Tifu is considered one of the leading violinist of her generation.

Born in Cagliari, she started to play the violin at the age of six under the guidance of her father and to perform in public at eight years old when she won 1st prize with special honors at the Vittorio Veneto concert series. At the age of 11 she made her debut as soloist with the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire and at 12 years old she performed the Bruch Violin Concerto at La Scala in Milan.

At 14 she won first prize at the Viotti Valsesia International Competition as well as in Stresa, where she won the Marcello Abbado International Competition in the same year. She received her Music Diploma in Cagliari at the age of 15 with special honors. She studied with Salvatore Accardo at the Walter Stauffer Academy in Cremona and at the Chigiana Academy in Siena where, in 2004, she obtained the Certificate of Honor.

She was supported by the Mozart Gesellschaft Dortmund and, at the age of 17, Anna was accepted to the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia where she studied with Aaron Rosand, Shmuel Ashkenzay and Pamela Frank. Later she was awarded a scholarship from the International Music Academy in Cagliari to study in Paris where she received the Diplome Superieur de Concertiste at the Ecole Normale.

L’Appassionata was founded in 2019 around the activities of the Gaspari Foundation as a group of outstanding young talents dedicated to the in-depth study of the chamber orchestra repertoire. Its members include some of the finest young professional musicians in Italy, trained at the most important musical institutions throughout Europe, who have already gained significant concert experience with some of Italy’s leading orchestras, including the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI, the Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala, the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano, the Mantua Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Teatro Regio of Turin, the Orchestra of the Arena di Verona Foundation, the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, and the Orchestra Filarmonica del Teatro Comunale di Bologna.

L’Appassionata has already given concerts and toured in Germany, Switzerland, France, and South Korea, as well as performing in some of Italy’s most prestigious venues, including the Sala Verdi in Milan, the Scuola Grande di San Rocco and Teatro La Fenice in Venice, the Accademia Filarmonica in Verona, the Teatro Bibiena in Mantua, and the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, within the framework of major festivals such as Serate Musicali di Milano, Emilia-Romagna Festival, Società dei Concerti di Parma, the Portogruaro Festival, the Galuppi Festival in Venice, and MantovaMusica. The ensemble has collaborated with internationally renowned artists and soloists, including Gil Shaham, Emmanuel Pahud, Leonora Armellini, Laura Marzadori, Anna Tifu, Enrico Dindo, Giuseppe Gibboni, Elio, and Andrea Battistoni.

Formed in 2023, the Pegreffi Quartet is one of the most promising emerging ensembles on the Italian chamber music scene. Through its name, it has the honour of paying tribute to the violinist Elisa Pegreffi, second violin of the Quartetto Italiano, and its aim is to preserve and represent the Italian quartet tradition in the present day.

In 2024, it was awarded the Amici della Musica di Verona Prize and was among the ten quartets selected to participate in the Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition 2025. In 2023, it was selected to join the class of Cuarteto Casals and Maestro Heime Müller at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, where it received the “Ciampi” scholarship for the best chamber group. Both in Fiesole and in Munich, it was also chosen to take part in the sessions of the European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA).

The Quartet obtained a second-level Master’s degree in Chamber Music with highest honours, distinction and special mention under the guidance of the Trio di Parma and Maestro Pierpaolo Maurizzi at the “Arrigo Boito” Conservatory in Parma. It is currently continuing its advanced studies by attending the “Ébène Quartet Academy” with the Quatuor Ébène and Raphaël Merlin at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, as well as the Chamber Music course at the Musikhochschule Lübeck with Heime Müller and the Stauffer Academy in Cremona with the Quartetto di Cremona.

Its commitment to in-depth stylistic research has led it to take part in a seminar focused on the classical repertoire held by Maestro Lorenzo Coppola at the Escuela Superior de Música de Catalunya, and to further explore the subject with the musicologist Clive Brown.

The ensemble performs regularly for important Italian and European musical institutions such as Festival delle Nazioni, Società del Quartetto di Milano, Brahms Festival in Lübeck, Società dei Concerti di Parma, SilenzioMusica Festival, and Amici del Quartetto di Reggio Emilia.

Since December 2023, it has been part of Le Dimore del Quartetto, through which it has performed in the concert series promoted by the AMUR Committee “Musica con Vista”. It is also part of the musical association “Musica con le Ali”, which promotes the best emerging Italian chamber ensembles.

The Pegreffi Quartet has attended masterclasses with distinguished musicians such as Günter Pichler, Raphaël Merlin, Vera Martínez Mehner, Kyril Zlotnikov, Patrick Jüdt, Xandi van Dijk, Pavel Nikl, Andrea Lucchesini and Andrea Nannoni.
